| Explore this beautiful island nature reserve
on a ferry, which will take you through a 9-mile journey
through fabulous beaches, mangrove swamps, oak-palm hammocks
and several acres of pine forests. See the dolphins in the
waters and also a stunning assortment of birds. The reserve
is a popular spot for picnicking, hiking, and biking. There
is also an amphitheater in the park where you can watch a
film about the ecology and history of the island. |

| Boca Grande Lighthouse Museum |
| Situated in the oldest building on
Gasparilla Island, the museum houses exhibits and displays
on the history of the lighthouse and the town and also the
local fishing industry. You will also get an insight into
the lifestyle of the Native Americans who first resided in
this area. The museum also features a gift shop. It is open
daily from 10:00 to 4:00pm from November through April and
from May through April, it is open Monday to Friday. The
museum charges a nominal entrance fee. |

| Don Pedro State Park |
| The state park
can be reached by boat only. It features nature trails,
picnic tables, grills, 12 dock slips and restroom
facilities. You might even encounter endangered animals such
as the gopher tortoises, bald eagles, West Indian manatees,
and American oystercatchers. Go for swimming, sunbathing,
shelling or snorkeling. The park is open throughout the year
between 8:00am to sun down. |

| Gasparilla Island State Park |
| Discover the amazing sandy beaches of the
Gulf Coast. You will be able to see the tarpon standing on
the outside deck. From here you can visit the Boca Grande
Lighthouse Museum to get an insight on the history of the
island. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, fishing and the scenic
vistas of the surroundings. |
