Pan for your own pot of gold and if you don’t manage to dig out a pot at least you should be able to get a gold nugget at the 100 year old County Boy Mine. Take a guided tour, 1,000 feet underground to explore the mining exhibit, the five-story 75 year old mill and hear the folklores. You can even take a hay ride up the mountain on old mining trails or a sleigh ride in the winters. The mine is a constant 45°F year-round, so it is advisable to carry a jacket even in August. It is open daily form 10AM to 4PM in summers and in winters reservation is required to visit the museum. The price for the mine tour for an adult is $16, $11 for children between the age of 4 and 12 and free for kids under the age of 4. |
