    Beaches
Caressed by the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea, the beaches in and around your Cancun condo are the hottest spots to spend your days at. Most of them are really crowded so if you are interested in finding a secluded spot, drive to the west toward Playa del Carmen and you will come across numerous secluded beaches or coves with little chance of finding a crowd. Whether it is playing volleyball, parasailing, snorkeling, and wave-runners or simply relaxing in a hammock, the calming effects of the soothing waters instantly relieve the tensions of the everyday life. Though total nudity is rare, topless bathing is something that is accepted on the beaches.

    Water Sports
The numerous beaches of Cancun naturally make it a haven for water sports be it parasailing, snorkeling, jet skiing or water skiing. The usually calm waters of Laguna Nichupté, located in the hotel zone, are perfect for jet skis, waverunners, kayaking, parasailing, windsurfing, water-skiing, and jungle tours while the less adventurous can try their hands at flying boats. The undertow in the beaches facing the Caribbean can be quite dangerous. World-class scuba diving is mostly prominent on the islands of Cozumel and Isla Mujeres.  Then there is the Parque Nizuc, a marine park where you can snorkel, try the various waterslides and swim in a wave pool.

    Mayan Ruins
Some of the finest ruins of archaeology-the Mayan ruins including palaces, observatories, temple-pyramids and ceremonial sites are to be found in the Yucatan Peninsula. Most of these sites are within easy driving distance of Cancun and they attract the tourists by the hoards that come here to observe the ancient Mayan culture, gorgeous beaches and dramatic landscapes. The Chichen Itza, is one of the most impressive testimonies of the surviving legacies of the Mayan-Toltec civilization. You’ll find here some outstanding examples of Central America architecture, and Toltec sculpted decoration. The major attraction of this site, which literally translated means the well, is the massive Pyramid of Kukulcan (El Castillo), The Temple of the Warriors, The Ball Court, The Observatory and the Sacred Well. Built on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean is the amazing fortress of Tulum, one of the most impressive representations of the Mayan ruins in the peninsula. The great attractions of this place are the Temple of the Dios Descendente, built as a way station for descending gods, and the Temple of the Frescos, which still bears traces of color from ancient palettes. Found north of Cancun are the ruins of El Meco. From the top of one of the pyramids, you get a breathtaking view of the Chacmochuc Lagoon, near the area known as Isla Blanca.

    Ecological Parks
Cancun and the Mexican Riviera hold the distinction of being home to some of the world’s most amazing ecological parks including the Xcaret, Xel-Ha, and the Garrafon. Xcaret, located on the shore of the Caribbean Sea, features among others, underground rivers, butterfly-pavilion, turtle-farm, interactive-aquarium, museum and dolphin center and some of the best cultural shows depicting the region’s folk music and dance heritage. In the afternoons rather than lazing be prepared to experience the ancient Mayan culture at its best through the Mayan scenarios and ceremonies, pre-hispanic dances, the traditional Ball Game, the sounds of instruments, and the enriching colorful regional dances to delight your senses. The highlight of the Xel-Ha ecological park is its natural, scenic and simply spectacular beauty. You’ll find here a turquoise blue lagoon, a river, and a jungle with the Mayan cenotes in it. Garrafon, a privileged site of nature, is an ideal place to snorkel, dive or visit the Mayan temple of goddess Ixchel or simply take a leisurely walk through the sculptural garden. Garrafon is considered as one of the most beautiful shallow reefs in the world with amazingly waters and the soothing currents conducive for coral reefs formations and marine life.

    Cenotes
Nothing can compare to the excitement and satisfaction of diving and exploring the wondrous, mysterious cenotes and their hidden rivers when not giving into the pleasure of lazing around at your Cancun condo or Cancun vacation rental. Apart from providing an interesting platform to view the formations of stalactites and stalagmites, cenotes are also a great place to snorkel and swim as long as you stay at the water's surface. If you plan to go for a cavern dive, do take along a professional supervisor. The cenotes near Cancun include the Casa Cenote, Taj Cenote, Calavera Cenote and the Cenote Cristal. Ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and diving, their shady and rocky floors with stalactites dripping from the cave ceilings make them perfect as picnicking spots.

    Fishing
Cancun and the surrounding areas are perfect locales for some excellent sportfishing and deep-sea fishing. Sport Fishing is a unique and popular activity in Cancun, which combines meditation with muscle tonification. Anglers from all over the world come here to stay at a Cancun condo and fish in the Mexican Caribbean and in its many nearby inlets, flats and lagoons for sailfish, marlin, dorado, wahoo, grouper and bluefin tuna.

    Swimming with the Dolphins
There is nothing more relaxing, pleasant and memorable than swimming with the mischievous dolphins in the Mexican Caribbean, where each region has been created such that the tourists can touch them, interact and also study about their behavior. The fascinating and intelligent dolphins, in their natural environment, are sure to become your friends and you will undoubtedly realize the uniqueness and the greatness of the species.
