Cannon Beach is a nice, clean, long and sandy beach. It is an ideal place to have leisure walks and see numerous rocks known as sea stacks. The main attraction here is Haystack Rock opposite to the town. You can enjoy here a good number of exciting and popular activities, such as beachcombing, photography, tide pooling, beach volleyball, bird watching, whale watching, sand Castle Building etc.
Downtown Cannon beach area consisting of small groups of shops, galleries, restaurants and City Park is an ideal recreation point. Your kids would love playing in the park as the park has a playground, tennis courts, ball field, Skateboard Park and basketball rings. Everything is available for fun here ice cream, candy, souvenir shirts.

| Haystack Rock |
Haystack Rock is a third largest free standing coastal monolith (a single great stone) in the world. The Rock stands 235 feet, with the elevation of 327 feet is named so due to its shape. It is termed as a marine and bird sanctuary and is a complete wonder in itself. The vast tide pools are at the base of this large ecosystem, while its upper acts as home for many thousands of sea birds. One small cave system penetrating through the rock can be seen easily from the coastline. Haystack Rock is indeed a must see of Cannon Beach, which takes its very identity from it. Haystack Rock is situated on the southwest of the downtown Cannon Beach, just next to Tolovana Park.

| Coaster Theater Playhouse |

Coaster Theatre Playhouse is one of the best theatres in the Northwest of Cannon beach. It enjoys an eminent position and has entertained thousands of audiences, both local and visitors, with musical concerts, stage plays, and art shows.
There are live performances that take place whole year. You can get tickets from the Box Office, Tuesday to Saturday, from 1:00PM to 5:00 PM, one hour prior to the performance begins. You can even order for them through telephone and pay by Visa or Mastercard. The seating in the Theater are reserved. If you have children under the age of five, you may not be able to take them in as they might not be allowed. |

| Ecola State Park |
Ecola State Park is a complete recreation destination that has something for everyone. Have a picnic with your family and friends and then hit the various hiking trails to explore the natural beauty of this park. The surfers can enjoy riding on the waves, while those not interested in water sports can feast their eyes on the varied species of birds and wildlife that in habitat the park. and pools tide wait for the discovery. You can keep a vigilant eye to notice the many species of birds and wildlife that call Ecola its home. You can see even see the migrating gray whales all through winter and spring times.
To reach up to the park, you can take a paved road from Cannon Beach. It will make your trek towards the park quite easier. It is extremely spectacular scenery, so you must have your camera ready. For the rates of the park, from May 1 to September 30, for Daily day use: you may need to pay $3, and for y early day use, $25 is charged. From October 1 to April 30, the daily day use is for $3 and yearly day use is for $25. |
