Brevard County has three golf courses, The Habitat, The Savannahs and Spessard Holland. The Habitat’s championship par 72 golf course is intermingled with a wide variety of habitats, creative topographic features and challenging mounded fairways. The Savannah’s characteristically southern course is ideal for beginners and pros, with wetlands and water as part of the course’s challenges. Designed by Arnold Palmer Enterprises, Spessard Holland is an extremely popular executive 18-hole, par 67 course that features sailboats and birds along an inland waterway. The constant unpredictable breeze off the Atlantic challenges the use of all 14 clubs on this course. The nearby Cocoa Beach Country Club also has an attractive location, on a peninsula surrounded by the Banana River Lagoon. Home to an astonishing variety of bird life, three 9-hole courses provide excellent variety for the recreational golfer. |
