Usually the summer evenings in Chatham resonate with live band concerts that are held every Friday evening at 8 PM in Kate Gould Pak on Main Street, so if you are in town this time of the year do remember to watch one of the performances.

Chatham Antiques features items from 1850 to 1920. The store features an interesting collection of American and European silver, including coins, sterling silver and silver plate, as well as 19th and early 20th century China like calyxware, lustre, grandmotherware and sprigged ware.  Best Times to Visit Chatham

Winter may be the best time to visit small-town Chatham, as the population swells to several times its normal size during the summer. The rates of rentals are lower in winters and you can look for great bargains in restaurants and shopping venues. If you aren’t a fan of the white stuff, then it may be best to visit from March to May, though the temperature will remain a cool 30-50ºC.

By June, spring in Chatham is in full bloom. Through the summer, ocean breezes keep temperatures pleasant, with an average summer temperature in the 70ºs. Chatham is known for its fog, which keeps gardens blooming and summer mornings cool. The water is blue and warm through October, as Indian summer lingers here. November’s air is crisp and the scenery is breathtaking, which makes the fall a great time for tennis, golf and other outdoor activities.

The Chatham Municipal Airport is located on George Ryder Road, just northwest of Chatham Center. Bus service directly from Boston Logan International Airport to Hyannis and Harwich is provided by Plymouth & Brockton Bus Line. The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority provides daily bus service from Hyannis to Orleans with stops in North Chatham, near the Chatham Rotary, and in South Chatham. Auto rentals are readily available, but bicycling or walking are also easy ways to get from place to place in Chatham.
