Alan Shepard Park: Alan Shepard Park is a 2-acre oceanfront park providing picnic areas, barbecue grills, shower and restroom facilities for guests. Named after astronaut Alan Shepard, the park provides an excellent view of space launches. The parking fee is $3 per car. |

Sidney Fischer Park: Sidney Fischer Park is a 10-acre oceanfront park ideal for a picnic and a swim in the Atlantic. Picnic pavilions, shower and restroom facilities are provided. The parking fee is $3 per car. |

Lori Wilson Park: Lori Wilson Park is a 32.5-acre oceanfront park with seasonal lifeguards. Facilities include restrooms, picnic pavilions, a 1,000-foot boardwalk, six dune crossovers, a volleyball court, a playground and barbecue grills. Parking is $1 per car. |

Robert P. Murkshe Memorial Park: Robert P. Murkshe Memorial Park is a 2-acre oceanfront park that offers a boardwalk, parking, restrooms, picnic and shower facilities. |

Jetty Park: Jetty Park, located in Cape Canaveral, has a general store, a concession stand, soda machines, restrooms, showers, picnic areas, barbecue grills, a playground, bike paths and seasonal lifeguards. A newly renovated boardwalk along the jetty allows great fishing and views of the cruise ships entering and leaving the port. It's also an excellent site to view shuttle launches. Parking is $1 per car. |

Cherie Down Park: Cherie Down Park, also located in Cape Canaveral, preserves sand dunes and sea grasses. This park is great for beach activities and surf fishing. Amenities include restrooms, showers, a small pavilion and two sheltered picnic areas at either end of a 320-foot boardwalk. Parking is $1 per car. |

| Cocoa Beach is great for sport fishing and offers opportunities for pier fishing and surf fishing, as well as deep-sea fishing. Those who try their hand at pier fishing are likely to find flounder, king and Spanish mackerel, sheepshead, snapper, trout, weakfish, and whiting year-round. Fishing is best in the late summer and early fall. Snook, pompano sea bass, bluefish, and jack crevalle could be your catch if you go surf fishing. Deep-sea fishing can be done on a rental boat, where you can catch dolphin, grouper, king mackeral, wahoo, blue and white marlin, sailfish tuna, and snapper. Indian River Lagoon is a great place to fish for drum, sea bass, sheepshead, spotted sea trout, and weakfish. |

| You can indulge in all manner of water sports here from swimming and surfing to jet skiing, diving, snorkeling and parasailing. Equipment rentals are available in Cocoa Beach and in nearby Cape Canaveral. |

| The Cocoa Beach area offers a variety of boating opportunities, from deep-sea fishing excursions to airboat rides. There are many quiet, laid-back tours on serene waterways and rivers. Canoeing and kayaking are also popular boating activities. |

| Miniature golf is a great family pastime and you can try your hand at the Funntasia Fantasy Golf, an 18-hole miniature course with beautiful landscaping, located in nearby Cape Canaveral. |
