Cosmovitral-Jardin Botanico, Toluca is a unique affair because its 3000 meters of stained glass walls are as much a great sight to behold, as the 400 species of exotic flora it shelters. Sheer delight will fill your being when you wander through this Leopoldo Flores Valdes creation and feast your eyes on the 10-meters high African bird of paradise and other wonders. Eizi Matuda, the Japanese explorer and botanist finds the place of honor in the center of the garden. You could also take a guided tour. It is open from 9 AM to 6 PM on all days except on Mondays.

Museo Nacional de Antropologia or National Museum of Anthropologia
Paseo de La Reforma’s Museo Nacional de Antropologia offers the visitor a peek into the exciting Aztec and Mayan cultures that characterize Mexico. When you enter the place, you will feel that you have been transported back to a lost era. The artifacts and sculptures from different ages and the pyramids that you can actually touch, is something you have to experience in person.

Xel-Ha
The huge marine reserve, Xel-Ha is a fish lover’s paradise and this is one place where you can swim together with fishes of all kinds, colors and sizes, which are not in the least bit scared of the crowds. In fact, some of them might even give you a tiny little nibble so that you don’t forget them in a hurry! In the native Mayan language, Xel means mixed and Ha means water. This marine reserve is so named after its sparkling river that is a mix of both fresh and salt water. There are many fun things to do, eat and drink that it is recommended that you go for the all-inclusive package which entitles you to a full day of unlimited snorkeling, eating and drinking.

Basaseachic Falls
Basaseachic Falls, situated in Copper Canyon and part of Basaseachic National Park, are the highest waterfalls in Mexico and while you decide to visit the place, keep in mind that ‘there is no gain without pain.’ This means that the road to the Falls is quite lonely and the terrain difficult to negotiate. But when you reach your destination and perceive Basaseachic Falls, its energy and speed, you will be willing to undertake the risk once more! The beauty of the Falls is richly complemented by the beauty of the spectacular sights surrounding it.
