| The city has celebrated the return of gray migrating whales off the Pacific Coast for over 15 years now, drawing over a 100,000 vacationers. This Festival of Whales takes place in the month of March each year, which is a gala event brimming with fun and excitement for the families. You can sample choicest of Dana Point’s specialties and the finest of its presentations at the 100 booths featuring great food, recreational games, loads of entertainment, and displays and exhibits. Another highlight of the Festival is its Street Faire, hosted by Dana Point Chamber of Commerce, wherein you can be a part of the parade from 10 AM to 5 PM. |

| Toshiba Tall Ships Festival |
Does the mystery of the historic tall ships amuse you or is it the marina’s rich historical past that fascinate you? Dana Point invites you with open arms to discover its rich coastal past, with its informative crew offering you the tales of adventure and life at the Ocean, at the 22nd Toshiba Tall Ships Festival. Organized on the second weekend of September, the Festival celebrates the biggest assemblies of tall ships on the California’s West Coast.
Do not forget to reserve your ticket to unlimited entertainment and fun, if you are visiting the city at this time of year! The Festival is an entertainment blast, loaded with features such as art shows, Polynesian dance performances, live maritime music, mouth-watering food fare, interactive live-in history camps, exhibits and demos, enacted sunset canon encounters, and even a tall ships parade. | Doheny Blues Festival |
Doheny Blues Festival is a gala of the true spirit of indigenous American Music, which boasts performances from he likes of B.B. King, Etta James and the Roots Band, Los Lobos, John Hiatt, Love and Special Sauce, Lil' Ed and the Blues Imperials, Tower Of Power, Tommy Castro Band, Henry Butler, Martin Gerschwitz, James Hunter, James Harman Band and many more to be listed here! A treat for all the music lovers, Doheny Blues Festival adorns the stunning Doheny State Beach in the month of May each year.
Music fans will be astounded with 24 acts of Soul, Rock, Blues and Roots music being performed on 3 stages set in a backdrop of waterfront grassy park.
