Golfing in Dauphin Island

 
The whole island is a bird sanctuary, and especially during the spring and fall you can see different types of birds on their migratory trips. Other attractive sights worth visiting are Fort Gaines (a historic civil war fort), the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, Audubon Bird Sanctuary and a number of boat launch sites, the beautiful beaches and various parks. You can also take a car ferry ride across Mobile Bay to visit the Gulf Shores, water parks, outlet malls, etc.

    Isle Dauphine Club Golf Course
    Isle Dauphine Club Golf Course is an 18-hole course situated one mile from the center of Dauphin Island, Alabama. It features 6,620 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72.  The course rating is 70.8 having a slope rating of 123. This course has a scenic, flat and calm landscape, narrow fairways with challenging layout and is played right alongside the Gulf of Mexico.  Most greens are protected with sand bunkers. The dress code allows you to wear collared shirts and Bermuda shorts and denims are not allowed. The course is open year round except on Mondays.
     
    Kiva Dunes Course
    Kiva Dunes is the award-winning and #1 rated golf course in Dauphin Island, Alabama and represents a most exceptional and unforgettable golf experience. It is located about 14 miles from the center of Dauphin Island. There is a provision of plenty sand traps and water hazards for keeping the golf course eye-catching so as to lure the golf fans in coming back. Kiva Dunes is an 18-hole course in Gulf Shores, Alabama featuring 7,092 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.9 and a slope rating of 132 on Bermuda grass. 
     
    Silver King Golf Course
    “Silver King” is an 18-hole public golf course at the Silver King Golf Club facility in Irvington, Alabama featuring 6,623 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. It is located 15 miles from the center of Dauphin Island. The course, designed by (R) Graham family, was opened in 1963 and is being managed by Tony White as General Manager. It is open seven days a week from 07:00 AM to sunset.
