Sierra-at-Tahoe® Resort receives about 420 inches of snowfall making it a haven for the ski enthusiasts.
The highlights of the ski resort include a beginner run approximately 3-miles from the top of the mountain, specially designed kids programs and facilities for snow tubing, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing and snowboarding.The Broadway Park has its own lift and is an ideal place to test your skills or learn the ropes with small features including 10 ft. and 20 ft. long rails and boxes and a;so small jumps and tables. The Alley Park consists of Rails and boxes ranging from 20 ft. to 40 ft.
Escape the summer heat and the city crowds in the lap of the breathtakingly beautiful Heavenly Resort. The highlight of this park is the Adventure Peak Snow Park. Getting there is an experience in itself. The 3.4 miles mountain ride in the Gondola is the perfect way to take in the panoramic views of Lake Tahoe surrounded by the majestic Sierra-Nevada Mountains. The Park promises hours of fun and you can indulge yourself in snow tubing, sledding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. While there, you can enjoy snow play and sledding in the wide-open terrain. |

This hike is about 2 miles round trip to Eagle Lake and offers amazing views of the Eagle Falls. The terrain varies from steep to the flat. Permits are required and there is a self-registration station at the trailhead. You can also see the Fannette Island. Parking there is a problem but you get additional parking space another 1/8th mile up the road on the right.
Emerald Bay has two gateways into Desolation Wilderness. The Bayview Trailhead is located at the back of Bayview Campground. It is a steep trail and offers spectacular views of Emerald Bay and Lake Tahoe. The trail leads up to Granite Lake and eventually runs into Eagle Falls Trail. |
