Commanding 115 acres of area, this is one of undeveloped natural tract, which is also Charlotte County's one of the ecologically unique and diverse parks. A hot spot for eco-films, hands-on eco-displays, educational lectures, nature programs, informational pamphlets, knowledgeable staff and volunteer assistance - it also acts as a hideaway for a beautiful forest, gopher tortoise, bald eagle, owl and even bobcat!
Famous for its guided nature walks, the park features 7 marked nature trails, which are open from sunrise until sunset. Environmental visitors' reception center at the park is open year-round, excluding major holidays, from Monday through Friday from 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM. |

| Indian Mound Park |
| Along the inland coastline of Lemon Bay in Sarasota County lies Indian Mound Park. Once inhabited by the Calusa Indians, this park is a historic site today, which is home to various artifacts dating back to 400 B.C. The lovely park also features a historic nature trail, pavilion, picnic tables and a public boat ramp, with parking facilities. |
