As you head on towards south on the Highway 9 towards Breckenridge, half mile towards south of Frisco, you will find Peninsula Recreation Area. Golfing in Frisco |
If you love golfing, you would enjoy playing at the Peak One Disc Golf Course, which is owned and operated by the town of Frisco. Located at the Peninsular Recreation Area, the golf course is an 18-hole course free for the public; however the course is open to taking donations.
The town of Breckenridge boasts of a Jack Nicklaus designed, 27-hole golf course, the Breckenridge Golf Club. The course opened for play in 1985. During the summer 2001 golf season, the Town opened another nine holes also designed by Nicklaus and every bit as challenging as the original 18-holes. The new Elk nine as it is named, offers more elevation change than the Bear and Beaver nines. Since the opening of the course, national and regional honours like Best Mountain Course and Toughest Mountain Course have been awarded.

Summit Stage provides free of cost bus service within Frisco and also around Summit County. With the free bus service from Summit Stage, the visitors can go off to Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain, in and around Frisco. The County Wide bike path system goes through Frisco by the shores of lake. |
