Guerneville and the entire Sonoma County area is an all-season destination due to the Mediterranean-like climate. There are 2 main seasons, a dry season from May to October and a rainy season from November to April. Summer is the main tourist season; with daytime temperatures ranging from 50º to 80º F. Late autumn and spring are the best seasons to come to this part of California, particularly the months of November, March and April. In spring, daytime temperatures are between 40º and 73º F. Spring offers gentle breezes, exotic flowers and wine tasting events at the several vineyards in the area. Autumn has wonderful weather, the landscape bursts with the colors of the season and several harvest festivals are celebrated at this time. In November, the grapevines change color and the temperatures are perfect, with cool nights and warm days. Autumn day temperatures are a pleasant 40º to 80º F. Winters are chilly, with daytime temperatures ranging from 38º to 60º F. Occasionally in winter, Guerneville sees below freezing temperatures at night with frosty mornings. |

Getting To and Around Guerneville |
Guerneville is about 85 miles from San Francisco International Airport. If you travel north on Highway 101, take the River Road exit just north of Santa Rosa. Guerneville is connected to the Sonoma County Transit system, so it is easy to visit destinations around Guerneville. However, if you want to see a number of places and pack a number of activities into your trip, it would be wise to rent a car from the several car rental services in town. Limo rentals are also available to and from airports in the San Francisco Bay Area.
