| The Weeki Wachee River Area |
Weeki Wachee River has Florida’s only Spring Water Park. The springs are owned by Southwest Florida Water Management District. The historic and spectacular attraction here is the live Mermaid show. There is even a mermaid museum. Take pictures with mermaids, swim and canoe down the Weeki Wachee River, soak in the sights of Old Florida and watch wildlife in its natural habitat. Watch otters, turtles, fish and manatees while you are here. There’s ample opportunity for scuba diving, snorkeling and water rides.
Spring Water Park remains open from 10 AM to 3 PM. Tickets are priced at $21.95 for adults, $15.95 for children (aged 3 to 10 years.) Admission is free for children (aged below 2.) Admission includes Weeki Wachee and Buccaneer Bay. You can get daily tickets, season’s passes and group passes. Season passes offer free parking too. Wheelchairs, umbrellas, strollers and snorkel set can be rented from here. |

| Homosassa Springs is where the manatees enthrall you with their gamboling. You could take a boat ride, take diving lessons, and snorkel along the Crystal River. “Nature Coast” is the place for bird watching and enjoying Florida’s aquatic wildlife. Guided tour operators rent out wetsuits and other equipment for all ages. Winter tours are often over-booked, especially the early morning ones, when the manatees are at their best and the divers are fewer. |

| Tampa Museum of Art, 31.8 miles from the City of Hudson has a collection of the 20th century art, contemporary art works, along with a collection of Greek and Roman antiques. Classes, lectures and seminars on art and children’s programs are often organized in the museum. The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 5 PM. On the third Thursday of each month, the museum is open from 10 AM to 8 PM. On the third Friday of every month, the museum is open from 10 AM to 5 PM and from 9 PM until midnight. A museum store is also there, where you can buy gifts and souvenirs. Tickets are priced at $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and $3 for students with ID and children (over 6 years.) For members and children (below 6 years,) there is no admission fee. |
