The place has a range of skiing terrains to serve the needs of the novice, amateurs, and professionals. The 66 tree-lined trails are 25% beginner, 50% intermediate and 25% advanced. The winter's abundant snow offers first-class skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
     
    arrow Diamond Peak Ski Resort: The Diamond Ski resort situated in the picturesque Incline Village is another must visit for the ski enthusiasts. The resort offers a gentle beginner terrain for those just getting initiated to the sport. The more advanced terrain offers challenging trails, tree skiing, open bowls and glades for the intermediate and the advanced level skiers. There is also a child ski center, which is ideal for children of ages 3-7. Experienced and friendly guides and instructors provide the children with the best possible experience in introducing them to the sport.

    Lake Tahoe is the perfect playground for water sports and you can bask in the experience of waterskiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, jet-skiing, canoeing, float planes, windsurfing and more on the pristine waters of the lake. The more adventurous can try parasailing and rafting in the Truckee river.
     
    Horseback Riding

    Kings Beach serves as an ideal location for fishing and boating. You can seek professional help to fish the kokanee salmon or the Mackinaw. All fishing charter companies provide fishing licenses for ages 16 years and above. Lake Tahoe is open for fishing the year round.
     
    Hiking
    The 150-mile Tahoe Rim Trail encircles Lake Tahoe with two northern entry points and a total of 11 trailheads. Enjoy the 360 degree views of the lake and the surrounding mountains or simply inhale the fresh, crisp air of the mountains while hiking through meadows lined with wildflowers or woods displaying a varied flora and fauna.
