If yes, then head straight to Dolphin Research Center at Marathon, which protects and even rehabilitates these fascinating water mammals. Watch the dolphins enjoy your company as you play and swim with them. The Center is home to about 15 odd dolphins, swimming in their natural saltwater habitat, carved out of the coastline itself.

Their signature Dolphin Encounter program enables avid water animal lovers to enjoy a thrilling date in close contact with the friendly dolphins. Reservations are advisable for that as it is normally over booked. The Dolphin Encounter costs $155 per person and is only allowed for swimmers over the age of 12 years. Admission to the Centre costs $18 for adults, $15 for seniors, $12 for children (aged 4-12years) and free for children (3 years and under.) It is open daily from 9 AM – 4 PM. Educational walking tours too are conducted 5 times a day at 10 AM, 11 AM 12:30 PM, 2 PM and 3:30 PM.

If you are out on a family vacation, your kids will love a day out at Florida Keys Children's Museum. Children here, get an opportunity for an up-close look at the area’s indigenous animals including some fish species, iguanas, and lots more. Most kids will love to dress-up-like-a-pirate at Museums of Crane Point here. Another enthralling attraction for them is the circular trail, which takes them to the restored remains of a Bahamian Village or the renovated George Adderly House, and the kids love to just hang-around here.

Do not forget to wear a nice pair of walking shoes and carry a mosquito repellant, if you do not want to keep scratching all the time since mosquitoes abound here because of the greenery. Museum is open from Monday through Saturday 9 AM-5 PM and on Sunday 12 noon-5 PM. The admission costs $7.50 per person and children (12 years and under) are allowed free of any charge.
