Special discounts are available in case the stay is for more than a week at any of the Newport vacation rentals. Options are available to rent during Tennis Tournament/Kite Festival week, Jazz Festival Week and Wooden Boat Show Week. Minimum stay in most of the Newport vacation rentals is for 2 nights, except during holidays and festivals which stay of at least 3 nights is required. All rates are dependant on availability, size of group, duration of your stay and the time of year when you are visiting. A deposit of 50% is to be made in advance to secure a reservation. All major credit cards are accepted for making the payments. A non-refundable cleaning fee is charged by most Newport vacation rental properties. In case of cancellations, advance security deposit charged at the time of booking is refundable only to the extent, if they are able to secure a replacement booking. The cancellation procedure may vary as per individual vacation rentals. Your pet dogs are always welcome, at most Newport vacation rentals! The vacation rental homes, which allow pets, require a signed agreement along with a deposit of $200.

This will be the 20th year when Newport would be celebrating the migration of these wonderful shorebirds on the scenic shoreline. The shorebird festival is centered at Oregon Institute of Marine Biology at the tiny fishing area of Charleston.

Newport offers a wide variety of tastes to pamper your taste buds from a quick dockside lunch of oysters and shrimps to authentic Thai Cuisine. You can relish your favorite delicacies in a relaxed ambience or in elegance of some of its fine dining places. You can try some grilled oysters at Whale's Tale on Bay Boulevard, which is a popular tourist’s area where restaurants, galleries, shops and other attractions vie for space with each other.

You can relish some famed signature clam chowder at Mo's Restaurant & Annex, which also serves mouth-watering fish preparations and oyster stew for lunch and dinner. Head straight to April's at Nye Beach, which offers a perfect blend of Italian and Mediterranean delights, prepared to taste the best using some of the freshest Northwest ingredients. Newport’s beautiful 2-storey Victorian Provisions Market in High Street is a pretty popular shopping venue with its wide selection of good quality stalls. The weekly open-air market at lower Dock Street is set on every Saturday, and is definitely worth a visit.
