    Tillamook County Pioneer Museum

Tillamook County Pioneer Museum reflects the rich and colorful history of Tillamook County. Since 1935, the Museum has been given the task of preserving and interpreting the environmental and human history of Tillamook County. The Museum is housed in the second courthouse, which was built in the city of Tillamook in 1905. It stands on the site of the original courthouse building which burned in 1903. The old building was then turned into a museum with the efforts of the Tillamook County Pioneer Association.

The museum had a collection of only 400 artifacts in the beginning, which now has grown to over 35,000 artifacts and an additional 10,000 photographs. The present collection also varies from the prehistoric specimen to modern day collections. Museum opens from 9 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday to Saturday, and 11 AM to 5 PM on Sundays. The Museum remains closed on Mondays and major holidays. Admission costs $ 3 per person, and for seniors $2.50 only.
