| Walking, Hiking and Jogging |
Lots of small and big parks at Panama City vie for attention here! The City boasts several parks, each exuding the City’s signature tranquility of nature, yet offering a distinct taste of Panama City. Most of the parks here are maintained by Leisure Services Department, 2 of which are famous as walking parks - Bay Memorial Park and Harvey De Mathis Park. You can go walk or jog at the well-lighted, 13-acres Bay Memorial Park, which also features a mile-long trail pricked with 10 fitness stations.
The alluring 3-acre nature park, Harvey De Mathis Park offers half a mile of scenic walking trail. Well the one out of City’s plethora of untouched secrets is Joe Moody Harris Park. Overlooking a stunning lake, the 30-acres park features an 800-feet boardwalk, meandering through the swamps into the lake. St. Andrews Park too offers some enticing trails for hiking and walking, snaking through the wilderness offering unsurpassed vistas of the land and the sea. The pristine 27-miles of shoreline, complimented with warm clear waters of the Gulf, the Ocean and the St. Andrews Bay add more color to the beach activities here! From simply lazing around in the sun to rock some tan, sitting on a beach chair reading the book that you have longed to read or collecting shells for taking home as souvenirs, to enjoying some short laps of swimming in the warmth and clarity of the City’s waters – you can enjoy anything and everything here, without a second thought.
An array of waterfront parks in the area, make the beach experience more enjoyable for you. The 5-acres, Oaks by the Bay Park boasts the reflection of its majestic oak trees right on the waters of St. Andrews Bay. You can even relax in this peaceful atmosphere, at its gazebo to watch the boats sail by the setting sun. |

With a near-perfect climate and a profusion of warm waters, it is not easy for any active sports addict to stay away from aqua sports at Panama City Florida. Adding a feather to the cap is the effortless availability of facilities and avenues for water sports available here! You name it and you have it - boating, fishing, swimming, diving, scuba diving, canoeing, snorkeling and surfing, you can indulge in any type of water sports you like.
The great waterfront park, Carl Gray Park has been a favorite jaunt for game fishing, swimming, boating and even picnics. Lake Huntington Park offers excellent fishing opportunities for avid anglers. You can fish from the jetties and piers along the shore at St. Andrews Park, or you can join a fishing voyage for deep-sea fishing on any of the numerous charter boats available. You can even make reservations for a snorkeling escapade, scuba diving mission or enroll for a charter-fishing cruise. |

| The Department of Leisure Services at Panama City ensures that enough avenues are available to vent out the talents and needs of each of its individuals. The Departments athletic programs provide facilities for baseball, tennis, basketball and even adult softball. The adult programs feature the likes of spring and fall softball tournaments, table tennis tournaments and indoor basketball. A series of leisure activities too are promoted for the welfare of its citizens, such as karate, dance, music, arts, and senior citizens programs. |

| Tennis Courts |
| The Panama City’s Department of Leisure Services promotes tennis in a grand way, to ensure this there are 8 tennis courts available throughout the City. Oakland Terrace Park boasts 6 well-maintained tennis courts, while 2 more tennis courts are available at Daffin Park. You too can enjoy tennis at any of the 8 tennis courts. Lessons in tennis too are available for children and adults, all round the year by the Leisure Services Tennis Instructor. Private lessons can be arranged for large or small groups as well, though they attract a nominal fee. |
