At 5 to 25 feet above sea level, Punta Gorda enjoys a climate characterized as subtropical, where extremes of temperatures in both summer and winter are checked by the tempering influence of the Gulf of Mexico. In summer, temperatures range from 70º F to 90º F and in winter temperatures remain in the 60º F to 70º F range.
