Fishing guides are available to take you to the fishing hot spots. Several competitions are organized for those who enjoy competitive angling in the summer season.
Temporary 12 month, 7day and 3 day fishing licenses are available for nonresidents, if they wish to go for fresh water fishing. Children under the age of 16 do not need a license to fish in Florida. A license may not be compulsory while on charter boats however, while on shore or in a personal fishing craft, a license is mandatory. Licenses can be obtained at Sarasota or Charlotte County tax collector's offices, and at some of the local bait shops, which can also provide information about rules, limits, seasons, tides and weather also. |
