| The Lost Colony Outdoor Symphonic Drama |
| The Lost Colony Outdoor Symphonic Drama is an amazing spectacle of song, dance and drama under the galaxy of stars at Waterside Theatre in Manteo. It is a must see. You can experience 400 years of history and mystery of the island at this show. Performances begin in May and continue through August, Monday through Saturday at 8:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased for the producer's circle - $20, adults - $16, seniors (62 and above) - $15 groups (20 or more) - $14 and children (11 and under) - $8. Families may benefit from half-price admission for children (11 and under) every Friday and Saturday or free admission for children (11 and under) on Mondays. Both require a paid full-price adult admission. |

| Annual Mollie Fearing Memorial Art Show |
| A fine assortment of indigenous arts is showcased at Roanoke Island Festival Park’s gallery at the Annual Mollie Fearing Memorial Art Show. Creative expressions, in the forms of music, dance, theatre, painting, sculpture, poetry and literature, of children and adults, are on display here. The show goes on from May 1 to May 29, 9 AM until 5 PM. |

| SilverArts Exhibition gives you an opportunity to appreciate Visual and Heritage Arts, created by senior artists (55 and above). Heritage Art includes woodcarving, stained glass, woodworking, jewelry making, quilting and needlework. Visual Art comprises drawing (both graphite and colored pencils), oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, charcoal, sculpture and pottery. This exhibition takes place at Manteo from May 11 - June 14. |

| Rogallo Kite Festival |
| An acknowledgement to the inventor of the Flexible Wing, NASA scientist Rogallo, the festival is an extravaganza of signature kite flying over the dunes and a celebration of the history of kiting. The 2-day festival is packed with exhibits, demos, stunts and power kite lessons and loads of free children’s activities and games. The festival takes place on June 10 and June 11, at Jockey's Ridge State Park. |
