| Spread over 115 acres of area, Cedar Point Environmental Park is one of Charlotte County’s most ecologically unique and diverse parks. Famous for its guided nature walks, the park features 7 marked nature trails, which are open from sunrise till sunset. At the Environmental visitors' reception center, you’ll come across eco-films, hands on eco-displays, educational lectures, nature programs, informational pamphlets etc. This is open year-round, excluding major holidays, from Monday through Friday from 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM. |

| Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum |
| Situated on the Sanibel-Captiva Road, Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum is definitely known for its uniqueness as here you would come across rare shells and mollusks. With an extensive collection of more than 15,000 shells and mollusks from around the world including the coast of southwest Florida, barrier islands and the Gulf of Mexico, the museum is a major attraction for a large number of visitors besides scientists and students. Make your visit to the museum a memorable one by purchasing souvenirs and collectibles from the Museum Store. The museum is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM and the cost of the ticket is $7 for adults aged 17 and above, $4 between the age of 5 and 16 and free for children aged 4 and under. |

| Museum of the Islands |
| Housed in one of the island’s first public library, the Museum of Islands gives you an insight into Pine Island’s historic past. The museum features an extensive collection of over 1700 shells along with a range of household artifacts ranging from everyday items to unique products such as vintage telephones, farm machinery and fishing gear. One particular section of the museum is dedicated to fishing as it was an important part of the people’s life and displays depict the various kinds of fishing methods as well as the various types of fishes available year round. The main exhibit room also houses the absolutely adorable Doll Cart, which is a restored horse cart dating from the early part of the 20th century and has several generations of dolls sitting in it prettily. The cost of the admission fee is $2 for adults and $1 for children. In the winter season the museum is open from Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 AM to 3 PM and on Sundays from 1 PM to 4 PM and remains closed on Mondays. During the summers the museum remains open from May 1 to October 31 from 11 PM to 3 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. |
