Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club boasts of 18 challenging golf holes and offers practice facility as well. Beach Club Restaurant is right on the shores of Gulf of Mexico, where you can enjoy lunches or dinners with a view of the surf. The semi-private club is located between Ft. Walton Beach and Panama City.
Bay Pointe Golf Course has 36 unique holes and a practice area. It also offers individual and group lessons by PGA professionals to help you improve on your game. The course provides top-of-the-line rental clubs. Reservations must be made 30 days in advance. Golf packages are available from $268 to $298. Other excellent courses in the area include The Raven, Burnt Pine, The Links, Kelly Plantation, Regatta Bay, among others. |

Seacrest Beach Fairs and Festivals |
The region plays host to some of the best-known jazz, art, and wine festivals that make your vacation memorable. Cultural Arts Association (CAA) organizes events including ArtsQuest, an annual fine arts festival at Baytowne Wharf is held in the month of May. Flutterby Festival (also by CAA), which has live music, children’s interactive art tent, athletic competitions and co-op tent for local artists is usually organized in October.
The popular Fine Art of Looking Good fashion show, organized by CAA, takes place in May each year. This event is sold out every year, so make your reservations early. As many as 23 shops and galleries on the highway 30-A from Bluemountain Beach to Rosemary Beach are part of the Champagne Shopping Tour, which is organized in May. Admissions are free and shuttles are provided by Sandestin Golf and Beach resort.

Though Seacrest Beach does not have many extravagant fine dining options, neighboring towns on Highway 30-A, such as Destin and Panama City, offer good hotels and restaurants where one can enjoy exotic seafood as well as continental fare.
Café Thirty-A, just 1.5 miles east of Seaside, has local seafood, beef, lamb poultry, vegetarian selections, wood-oven pizzas and desserts. Criolla’s Restaurant at Grayton Beach, rated among the top 20 in Florida, is known for its contemporary tropical cuisine. For some casual dining, you can try Red Bar, Tuscany Grill, Blue Luna, Bayou Bills and Spicy Noodle, all on 30A. There are a number of excellent seafood markets in the area as well.
Seacrest Beach and nearby areas offer exciting nightlife with their lively bars, some of which have jazz bands as well. The extremely popular Picolo’s Restaurant and Red Bar on Grayton Beach attract diners with their funky atmosphere. You can also enjoy Red Bar Jazz Band here. The beautiful 3-Thirty-1, on Santa Rosa Beach has two levels with large decks overlooking the bay, dance floor, DJ, and a Sushi Bar as well. Pandora’s, on Grayton Beach has some delicious steaks and seafood.

Best Times to Visit Seacrest Beach |
Summers in Seacrest Beach are hot with temperatures rising up to 91° F in July and August. The lowest temperatures in the winters range from 36° F to 39° F. Seacrest Beach lies in a region that receives at least 50 inches of rain annually, and hence showers and thunderstorms are rather common. It is hot and humid between May to September and the period is marked by abundant rains. The rest of the year, however, is mild, cool and less rainy. Storms that occur during the official hurricane season mostly skip the region, but there is a warning system in place to alert you.
The exotic Seacrest Beach, located in the region known as Beaches of South Walton region on Florida’s north Gulf Coast, enjoys warm temperatures all year round. Showers and thunderstorms are common but pass quickly, making way for a sunny day. The best months to visit Seacrest Beach would be between October to April, when it is not very hot or humid. However, several fairs and festivals are lined up in the summer, from May to October, so don’t ignore those months. |
