North Florida
The towns and cities of North Florida are known for offering some unique dining experiences that also includes feeding fish right from your table while you dine at the Santa Maria Restaurant in St. Augustine. The uniqueness of this restaurant lies in it being situated right on the water on a landing in Matanazas Bay and this gives you the opportunity to enjoy your meal in the company of thousands of fish that are eagerly waiting for you to feed them. While you are staying at a Florida vacation rental home in St. Augustine, don’t miss an opportunity to dine at the number one Italian restaurant, the ‘Amici Italian Restaurant’ or plan out a romantic dinner on the Oceanfront Deck of the ‘Beachcomber Restaurant’.

Another beachfront bar that has been popular for the past 40 years is the Ocean Deck Restaurant & Bar in Daytona Beach, which offers a perfect combination of great food, drinks and music. Nightlife in Daytona Beach does not only mean pubs, bars and restaurants as it has something really unique to offer as well – ghost tours. If you want an unforgettable and an extraordinary experience, simply take a ghostly tour that takes you through some of the most haunted mansions, cemeteries and other spooky abodes of the people from the other world.

Once a cluster of historic structures has now been transformed into a 650-seat ‘dining facility’ called the Nicholson Farmhouse Restaurant and is a very famous eatery situated 15 miles north of Tallahassee. Tallahassee is more of a college town and has a thriving nightlife culture, among which ‘Bullwinkle’s Tavern’, ‘Café Cabernet’ and Ken’s Tavern are some of the most visited pubs and bars.  While Destin and Fort Walton Beach are home to some of the hottest nightspots in Northwest Florida, Jacksonville Landing, a riverfront venue offering entertainment, dining and shopping rules the roost in Northeast Florida.

Central Florida

Visit one of the most legendary restaurants in Tampa’s historic Ybor City called the Columbia Restaurant. Opened in 1905, this restaurant covers an entire city block and while you can savor exotic Spanish dishes and drink sangria you can also feast your eyes on flamenco dancers. Ybor City is also known for its vibrant nightlife and its myriad nightclubs and bars are a particular favorite with the under 30 age group. In Orlando and Kissimmee Area you can enjoy several theme based lunches and dinners such as having a breakfast with your favorite characters at Universal Islands of Adventure followed by a elaborate lunch at the Crystal Palace in Walt Disney® to enjoying a dinner with Snow White, Mary Poppins, Pcahontas and others at Epcot.

You can even catch one of the themed dinner shows such as the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament where you can feast on delicacies while watching stallions prancing showing off their equestrian drills followed by brave knights participating in medieval tournament games. The other not to be missed themed dinner is the Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show, which features daring acts by a group of 32 horses and their riders.  In the Space Coast area visit the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, this is known for drawing in crowds to its popular ‘Lunch with an Astronaut’ program.

The thrill and excitement of Orlando’s theme parks doesn’t go down with the sunset, in fact it’s the other way round and the proof of which is evident in Disney’s Pleasure Island, which comes alive with its myriad nightclubs, bars and pubs; or you can even groove to the hit 80 dance tracks in an open-tropical bar Universal’s CityWalk, another famed spot for nightclubs and restaurants. And what better way to end a night of fun and excitement than with a spectacle gala of fireworks, a not-to-be-missed sight that takes place every night at Disney.

South Florida

South Florida is no exception when it comes to offering a wide range of dining and nightlife options. If you happen to be vacationing in a Florida condo in Bradenton or Sarasota, do drop in at Miller’s Dutch Kitch’n where you will be treated to authentic Amish grub. Your kids will be delighted to dine in a dining booth which has been transformed from an authentic Amish buggy and an electric train that winds around the balcony. You can also buy from more than 20 types of homemade fruit or cream pies as well as cakes and breads to take back home. Sarasota’s other dining spots include the Southside Village that houses a number of eateries and clubs including Fred’s Pacific Rim and Morton’s Gourmet Market. For a more livelier night scene head to the Ocean Boulevard that runs through Siesta Key’s laidback Siesta Village. The live band performances are exceptionally good and are known for drawing a large number of crowds.

Move a little down south and in Fort Myers, you will come across a restaurant situated in two turn-of-the-century homes that successfully captures the essence of a bygone era. In this award-winning restaurant you will get to savor the Southern Regional Cuisine along with the typical Southern hospitality. Other recommendable eateries in the vicinity are Burk’s Irish Tavern, Sasse’s, Henry Street Station Tap Room & Grill and Bistro 41.

Miami
and Fort Lauderdale are equally praiseworthy for its diverse range of dining and nightlife options. For a unique dining experience visit Taverna Opa in Fort Lauderdale where you can dance on the table with trained belly dancers to Greek music and sample some really authentic Greek dishes. Mai Kai Restaurant is yet another creative option which is set up like a Polynesian village complete with waterfalls, gardens and tiki torches. While you devour exotic Polynesian cuisine, you can sit out amid lush greenery and enjoy watching performers juggling, twirling and even swallowing fire.

Imagine a restaurant where instead of being seated on a table for two or three or four you are made to sit or even lie down on fluffy bed linens and pillows, well if you would like this imagination to come true, all you need to do is pay a visit to B.E.D in Miami Beach. Instead of tables and chairs you will find here beds and to entertain you or even sing you a lullaby there’s a DJ or a live band. For those who are not scared to experiment and love bold and bizarre things, you can always get a tan while enjoying a drink or two at Garden of Eden, which is the only clothing-optional bar in Key West and what’s more there’s even a clothing-option restaurant by the name of Naked Lunch Café. Another great spot for nightlife is South Beach situated at the southern tip of Miami Beach, which features quite a plethora of bars and pubs. Groove away the night to Latin music or enjoy a live jazz performance at the many discotheques, dance clubs and jazz and blue bars. You will never be bereft of options in the cosmopolitan city of Miami.
