    John's Pass
John’s Pass, cut by a hurricane in 1848, is reminiscent of a bygone era, with its rough wooden buildings sporting fading tin roofs. The pass separates Madeira Beach from Treasure Island, and there you will find all manner of water-based activities, like parasailing, wave running, swimming, water skiing, snorkeling, kayaking, canoeing and boat cruises. It’s easy to see why the historic boardwalk has become one of the area's popular attractions, with its restaurants and shops, as well as its powerboat, Jet Ski and jet-propelled rubber raft rentals. Johns Pass also is the home to a couple of cruise ships that go several miles offshore for dancing, dining and gambling. No admission is charged and hours vary by business establishment, but it is open 7 days a week.
