| Dodgertown |
| Vero Beach is the smallest city in the United States to have its own professional baseball team. Dodgertown, located near the Vero Beach Airport, is used by the Los Angeles Dodgers for spring training. The city's own Dodgers farm team, the Vero Beach Dodgers, play here throughout the year. Dodgertown includes several practice baseball diamonds, Holman Stadium and a 9-hole and 18-hole golf course. Adults can participate in the Baseball Fantasy Camp or simply attend a Dodgers spring training game. Fees are $16 for Monday to Friday games, $18 for Saturday and Sunday games, and $8 Berm on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as for night games. |

| Historic District Vero Beach |
| History buffs have a lot to see at Vero Beach. The Historic District in downtown Vero Beach is undergoing a rebirth as historic structures of the 1920s are being restored. The Indian River Historical Society, located in the old Vero Beach railroad station, offers displays that depict the area's roots and growth. Tours to see the downtown historic district are conducted by the Historical Society and are available by appointment on select Wednesdays. |

| Grant Historical House |
| Grant Historical House is a restored cracker home that was moved to the Indian River in 1916 and is located in what is now Fisherman’s Park. The park offers shaded pavilions, barbecue grills, restrooms, a walking path, a riverfront boardwalk and a fishing dock that allows boaters to tie up to the dock. The House is open from 10 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday through Friday, while the park is open from sunrise to sunset. |

| McKee Botanical Garden |
| You can also visit the McKee Botanical Garden, which was established in 1932 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This is an 18-acres subtropical garden, where you can see diverse botanical collections and several restored architectural treasures. The facility is closed on Mondays and on major holidays, including the Fourth of July, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Day. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and on Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3.50 for children ages 5-12. |

| Vero Beach Museum of Art |
| There are also a few interesting museums at Vero Beach. Vero Beach Museum of Art features national and international exhibitions, has a gallery dedicated to Florida artists and is home to the Wahlstrom Sculpture Garden. The museum is open to the public and admission to general exhibitions and education wing exhibitions is free. For some special Holmes Gallery exhibitions, a variable admission fee will apply. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 4.30 PM, and on Sunday from 1 PM to 4.30 PM. It is closed on New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Parking is free. |

| Indian River Citrus Museum |
| Indian River Citrus Museum is full of interesting exhibits that trace the history of the local citrus industry from its beginnings to the present day. You can see tools, antique citrus labels, industry archives, original harvesting equipment, take a guided tour or visit the gift shop. Hours of operation are from 10 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday through Friday. |

| McLarty Museum |
| McLarty Museum displays items from the shipwrecked Spanish Plate Fleet from 1715. Through various displays and presentations, visitors learn about Spanish ships and their cargos. An observation deck built like a Spanish galleon was recently added. Museum hours are from 10 AM to 4.30 PM daily. Admission is $1 and children under 6 are free. |

| Sebastian Fishing Museum |
| See Sebastian Fishing Museum located at the Sebastian Inlet State Park. Inside the museum are replicas of a fish house and dock. Attend one of the free interpretive programs in which you might learn about sea turtles, land crabs, sea beans or wildlife rescue. How-to courses are also offered for those interested in fishing. Museum hours are from 10 AM to 4 PM and admission is free; however, there is a park admission fee of $3.25 per car. |
