 Getting To and Around Waikiki

Rental cars are one of the best options and come cheap though beware of the taxes. Children under five years will require car seats that are in demand and need to be booked in advance. Several rental agencies offer cars for people with disabilities. The excellent public bus system would be the best option if not for the disadvantage of not being elastic where sightseeing is concerned. You could join one of the coach tours that shunt between the various islands. Honolulu International Airport on Oahu is Hawaii's major airport that has twenty-three major domestic carriers and sixteen international carriers serving her. Short flights or inter-island ferries are another option that may be considered for traveling the nearby islands. Look out for air passes that allow unlimited travel within a specific period. The Waikiki Shuttle Bus offers free rides within Waikiki. sThe Waikiki Trolley is an excellent option too. It has three lines, namely the Ocean Coast Line (blue), the Honolulu City Line (red) and the Ala Moana Shopping Shuttle Line (pink).
