FES VACATION GUEST HOUSE RENTAL DESCRIPTION Dar Drissi is a traditional house in the ancient Fez Medina in Morocco. The Fez (or Fes) medina is a walled city founded more than a millennium ago and permanently occupied since then. It offers a rare and fascinating insight into the history and culture of the Moroccan people.

Traditional houses are called Dars or Riads . This house is at least 250 years old. It has recently been extensively and painstakingly restored using traditional crafts to complement its original features, many of which survive intact.

It has been converted into a guest house with modern en-suite facilities discreetly installed to preserve its original ambiance. Rooms may be rented individually or the whole house can be rented for your exclusive use. Whether room rental or house rental the accommodation package includes bed and breakfast, a maid service and the assured attention of our staff throughout your stay. We will also take care of you from the point of your arrival at the airport or train station until your eventual return there. For those that like to stay in touch there is free Wifi for your use. We are confident we can provide our guests with a delightful experience at a reasonable cost.

There are four guest rooms available at Dar Drissi. They are each of differing sizes and facilities and each is individually priced. Sizes range from the very large Grand Salon down to the small Upper Bedroom. All rooms have en-suite facilities offering a shower, wash basin and WC. The Grand Salon also has a bath tub of generous proportions. All guests will also enjoy all the facilities and services available at Dar Drissi and you are assured of a warm welcome and attentive service throughout your stay.

Grand Salon - This room is a very large bedroom / lounge suite with an equally large en-suite bathroom containing a bath, shower, WC and washbasin. The suite also has its own private balcony with seating overlooking the courtyard. The salon consists of a large double bed and two bed/settees. It can also be configured as four single beds. (Please state your preference when booking) It is suitable as a family room. Sleeps 2-4 people. (3rd and 4th persons extra).

Courtyard Salon - This is a large salon with en-suite bathroom with WC and washbasin and a separate en-suite shower room. The room is on the ground floor behind magnificent large double doors leading to the courtyard. It has a large double bed and an additional bed-settee. It can also be configured as two or three single beds. (Please state your preference when booking) Sleeps 2-3 people (3rd person extra).

Lower Bedroom - A small but beautifully decorated double room with a spacious en-suite bathroom with shower, WC and wash basin. The ceiling has an original wood painted design and the walls are decorated with traditional carved plaster, much of which is also original with the remainder lovingly restored to match. The en-suite bathroom has a low ceiling and the main bedroom door is also low but the main bedroom area has plenty of headroom. Sleeps 2 persons. We offer a single person discount on this room.

Upper Bedroom - This is the smallest of the guest rooms at Dar Drissi. It has a standard double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower, WC and wash basin. There is limited space for your possessions but it has two high corner shelves and two drawers under the bed. There is also some wall hanging space. Sleeps 2 persons. We offer a single person discount on this room.

Dar Drissi is a beautiful and spacious property that boasts a magnificent courtyard with fountain. It has a large roof terrace offering shelter from the sun and superb views over the Medina and of the Atlas Mountains beyond. It is located at the western end of the Medina between the well known shopping streets of Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seghira. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the Ain Azleten car parking area, which is the usual taxi arrival point.
