Maid Service Information

There is no maid service. You must help clean up, and not leave a huge mess. There is a cleaning fee added to every rental, depending on # of people, mess, and date (regular day, holiday, event, bachelor party, and so on). Cleaning fee is usually $99-$399.

Have you been a guest of this property?
Considering that I was told that I would not receive my cleaning deposit back if I did not write a good review, I am not surprised to have not received the return of my security/cleaning deposit. Nor am I surprised that other guests have written favorable views if made the same promise. We stayed here 4/5/13- 4/11/13. When we arrived, the house had not been cleaned. The kitchen and bathrooms were filthy. At first the owner claimed it was our fault that there had been no time to clean up the house since the previous guests had left (we had no control over the dates of stay of the previous guests). Disgusted with the condition of the house, we started cleaning it ourselves. A prime example of the level of filth was the oven which was completely crusted with grease and grime. There was dust everywhere, something the owner attributed to the number of antiques in the house. After the first day, the owner brought in someone to clean the house. She certainly made a dent in the cleaning that needed to be done but the house was never in an acceptable condition. There were extension cords everywhere which drew concerns about potential fires. The outside gate is locked with a bicycle lock which is locked at all times. Yes, we had the combination but the thought of a fire that could not be escaped entered our minds. This house might be perfect for a bachelor party, but for guests that prefer a clean and safe place to stay, this is not the place. The owner is a very nice young man and the location is outstanding.

A group of us stayed here for a bachelor/bachelorette party. The house is large and accommodated all of us comfortably. It is located only a block off of Bourbon Street which means you can easily go out and come back to change into more comfortable shoes or take a nap before heading out again. The owner was very easy going. Full of interesting decorations, this house is full of personality - even has a piano, for anyone who plays!!!

I have stayed at this property several times over the past 5 years. Perfect location for staying in the French Quarter, great for families and groups of friends. It's like a fine European hotel with the comforts and convienience of your own home.

This is the best location you will find and the best rate out there! You are 20 feet from Bourbon street yet it's a quiet area. You have a balcony where you can see the sights, people watch, and enjoy the night. RH is a FANTASTIC host and is extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations, bars, and anything else you are looking for. The house is classic, well maintained, and perfect for any size group. I will DEFINITELY stay here again when i come to New Orleans. A++++!

My 5 girlfriends and I take an annual trip to New Orleans. We decided to try out a vacation home instead of a hotel. We loved this house! It was within walking distance of everything! We are rather loud and came in rather late at time. We were given the freedom to do so. The landlord was wonderful to us! We completely enjoyed our stay and will come back again.

My 2 girlfriends and I just stayed at this apt for two nights recently. We were all very impressed with the decor and spaciousness, and the balcony was awesome to sit and people watch. It was very hot outside but the AC and fans inside kept the place nice and cool! My favorite surprise was seeing a piano in the room! We played and sang and had a great time. The location can't be beat! You are smack dab in the middle of everything. Just a few feet from Bourbon and right behind Jackson Square. There is tons of room for any size of party. The owner is considerate and helpful. We will definitely stay here again! Did I say I am a native New Orleanian, and live in Denver now. So I know the Quarter well...this is where you want to be. One consideration: there is no cheap parking in the FQ, but the Royal Orleans Hotel is directly across the street. If they are not full, you can valet park at $30/day. Well worth it for us.

I travel frequently to New Orleans and since I discovered this gem, I always stay at this place. It has a balcony that I love sitting on and having morning coffee and then retreating to after a long night and having a private drink and people watching to the street below. The beautiful three-story house is conveniently located in the heart of the French Quarter and is exquisitely decorated with antiques. I slept well, and the house is surprisingly quiet, while being just steps from Bourbon Street and fun. It's a brick building with thick walls. The owner is welcoming, helpful with his suggestions and possesses a vast knowledge of the history of New Orleans while also respecting the privacy and personalities of his guests coming from every corner of the world. As such, I strongly recommend you stay at this huge townhouse. There are enough bedrooms and space for a small, intimate group of friends and family to very large gatherings. It's a fully-equipped home, so I loved having the kitchen and appliances, and my own dining room and living room, and onsite laundry. You will be glad you made the decision to stay here. It will bring back all those memories of wonderful New Orleans, thanks in great part to the hospitality of the owner of the house and the joie de vivre of NOLA inhabitants.
