Welcome to the comfort and hospitality of Casa del Sol -- a beautiful Guest House Inn located in the heart of the 16th century village of Ajijic, Mexico. Nestled between the Sierra Madre mountains and Lake Chapala at 5,000 feet above sea level, Casa del Sol is centrally located on a quiet residential street, just two blocks from the village plaza. Stroll on cobblestones to the lake, shop in the colorful village, dine at fine restaurants and people watch at the plaza. Bike, hike or horseback ride the roads and trails exploring this beautiful area. Casa del Sol is alive with the vibrant colors of Mexico and inviting with all the comforts of home. Enjoy breakfast in our lovely Hacienda Room and relax outside in the lush garden courtyard by the swimming pool. Revel in the spectacular views of the mountains and Lake Chapala from your private balcony or our rooftop patio.

Payment Policy: one or two guests, room rates are from $75 - $100 USD per night, depending on the room and time of year. Room rates include a delicious full breakfast and all taxes.

Cancellation Policy: At Casa del Sol we rent our rooms by advance reservations only. When you reserve a room or rooms, we agree to turn away all other requests for the room(s) you reserved, guaranteeing to hold them for the dates you requested. We want our policy to be fair for our guests, yet prevent loss of income to our Inn by cancellations. We cannot be responsible for travel delays, health issues, inclement weather or early departures. Due to our limited number of rooms, cancellations affect us greatly, so when situations arise that necessitate a cancellation, we sympathize, however, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy:

Cancellations must be made 21 days prior to the scheduled arrival date or your deposit may not be refunded. If we are able to re-rent your room for the originally scheduled dates, your deposit will be returned, less a $20 USD processing fee. Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved, regardless of actual arrival or departure date. There will be no refunds for late arrivals or early departures.

Rules: Reservations requested, 50% deposit required. We offer reduced rates for stays of two weeks or longer. Group bookings of the entire inn are also available.
