SAN GIORGIO VACATION APARTMENT RENTAL DESCRIPTION Villa Collecimino is a spacious holiday property, which can be rented as a whole villa or as 3 separate apartments, located in 3.5 acres of orchards, olive groves and agricultural land, in the hamlet of San Giorgio (to be featured in Channel 4's next series of 'A Place in the Sun'), on top of Collecimino hill 550 meters above sea-level, with stunning panoramic views of Abruzzo's Gran Sasso and Maiella mountain ranges, and, to the north-east, the Adriatic Sea.
Apartment 1 (162 sq.m + terraces) occupies the whole of the ground floor of the villa and is completely self-contained with its own private external entrance. Consisting of 1 double bedroom with terrace with panoramic mountain views, and 1 twin bedroom with terrace with panoramic mountain views, 1 bathroom + w.c, 1 shower room + w.c, kitchen with terrace, dining room, reception room with terrace, sleeping 4 persons.
Guests are also welcome to use the garden and grounds surrounding the property, and of course, the Scandinavian Plunge Pool. Each apartment has balconies/terraces big enough for dining/relaxing/sunbathing or for just enjoying the beautiful views of Abruzzo. We are ideally placed for both the Adriatic coast and the mountains, being only 30 minutes' drive from each.
It is 3 minutes' walk from a small supermarket and bar, 5 minutes' walk from an 'agriturismo' offering delicious meals from home-grown produce, 10 minutes' drive from the village of Cesi, which has a large supermarket, a pizzeria and a bar and a short drive from many other restaurants and two medieval hilltop towns. Villa Collecimino is about 45 minutes' drive from Abruzzo's International Airport in Pescara and 2.5 hours from Rome. You can walk/ski in the mountains in the morning, and swim and sunbathe on the sandy Adriatic beaches in the afternoon.
